Our candidate is Jeff Golden.
We don’t think anyone’s more qualified to meet the Valley’s challenges today. Here’s why
Jeff has always shown his independence from powerful political interests. Now he's doing it again as the one candidate accepting no campaign donations from corporations, unions, or Political Action Committees. That means as Commissioner his one and only boss will be the people of Jackson County.
Our commitment to electing Jeff comes from knowing that:

Jackson County will only thrive by becoming more self-reliant. That means strong consistent support of locally-owned businesses; we have to keep our dollars circulating in our own community where they can fund good stable jobs. It also means strengthening our Valley’s farming food processing network every way we can, because today a mere 1-3% of the food we eat is locally-grown. These goals have been two cornerstones of Jeff’s media and volunteer work.

In the coming few years, demand for county service will increase while tax revenues will not. That means we need Commissioners who will think of every tax dollar as if it were coming from their own pockets, and who will constantly look for more efficient ways to provide service, just as Jeff did before as County Commissioner.
- It’s time to do more than just talk about doing right by the next generation. As we build a strong local economy let’s be sure we use our natural resources—farmland, water, timber—in ways that don’t undermine our children's chances to build good lives here when we’re gone. This is our responsibility.
